After we have received your application, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet, followed by a home check. If you decide to proceed with the adoption, the board members will need to approve the adoption.

Therefore, once a dog is adopted, RFL reserves the right to:
- Check on the dog at any time to ensure its well-being.
- Remove the dog from the home if any conditions of the adoption contract have been violated or, if in the opinion of RFL, the environment is unsafe.
- If at any time you cannot keep the adopted dog, you must return it to Rescued for Life, Inc. and not to any other individual or shelter.
We cannot guarantee the health of any dogs adopted. Please be aware that the dogs available for adoption are rescue animals and, as such, have often been exposed to a variety of diseases. Like human illnesses, these disorders can have an incubation period of up to several weeks. If the dog you adopt shows signs of illness in the first weeks after it has been adopted, please inform us and take it to the vet for treatment.
Once a dog is adopted, the adopter is responsible for all medical expenses.
However under certain circumstances (which need to be approved), RFL may pay all or part of the dog’s medical care. Please remember we are always here to answer any questions you may have.
